About A New Century

A New Century Realty was opened in March 2001 by Thelma Ratliff, Principal Broker/Owner. The previous owner/broker had decided to discontinue his real estate business at the existing location. Thelma Ratliff was the Managing Broker under the previous firm and established A New Century Realty. This allowed the existing agents at the current location to continue functioning as an office at the same location but with a new name and new owner/broker. Thelma Ratliff has been licensed since 1990 and is a Broker in both Virginia and West Virginia. She has obtained the designations of Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI) and is an Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR).

The office is located in the Valley Farm Credit building at the Kernstown Business Park situated on the corner of Route 11 south (of Winchester) and Prosperity Drive just off Exit 310 of I-81 and Rt. 37. A branch office will be opening shortly in Capon Bridge, WV. The sales staff consists of 30+ salespersons and associate brokers plus the principal broker and administrative assistant. The office is a member of the Blue Ridge Association of Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors, Eastern Panhandle Board of Realtors, Massanutten Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. The current multiple listing service is the metropolitan areas of Washington, DC in northern Virginia, Maryland and portions of West Virginia and Pennsylvania as well as the northern portion of the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia which includes the Winchester area.
